The Raleigh Green Book Story Project

The Raleigh Green Book Story Project was designed to help share stories about residents of Raleigh, NC and their experiences living during the Jim Crow era in the city as a way of providing a more robust narrative about this time period. This project involved participants from William Peace University and area elementary schools as researchers, interviewers, storytellers and illustrators and allowed them to learn about and contribute to the reimagining of Raleigh’s diverse history as a means of providing a reparation to an incomplete history of this city and this time period.
